Spell Check
From the Journals of Asst. Archivist Bilel Lohesh:
"Many a time, I have sat in the stands of Drome Tammet's Assemblage Halls and witnessed the coming of age ritual the Tammetites call "The Fab". I have watched so many young Dromers slap, drill, hammer, weld, and curse a wide variety of mechanical contraptions together out of heaps and mounds of random, rusted parts. I have watched all this with my own eyes, and still I can not in good faith believe the outcomes."
"These machines that somehow get dubbed as hovertrucks despite the lack of uniform design, should not exist by their very nature. Even now I am watching a Dromer that just seconds ago reached into their garments, pulled out a handful of what I assume to be paper fasteners and candy wrapped, and threw it all into part of their creation's guttyworks. I'm only guessing this area is important for the sheer amount of tubes, gears, and flashing bits designated to that sector. None of it looks like it attaches together properly and yet with every moment that passes more parts flash and move and steam. I am terrified."
"I'm truly starting to believe the myth that these monstrosities are held together by some kind of magical mix of determination and spite that their creators use to force them to exist. Perhaps that's why once in the hands of the greater public they inevitably cease all function. Maybe only the hands and the mind of a dromer can keep all the disparate parts impossibly working together."
"The only parts that do remain the same and sensibly functional from hovertruck to hovertruck seem to be the hover units themselves. Gleaming orbs emanating hazy white auras from deep within. Despite years of research by the best engineers in Hubbis, we still don't know if these hover balls are machines themselves or some kind of resource the dromers manufacture or harvest naturally."
"Personally, I theorize that the hover orbs are created from grinding and polishing the same floating lesser 'liths that the Scartesson ride for the rock racing ventures. Unfortunately, I have never been able to get a straight answer from any dromer on the matter. Perhaps I need to spend a few seasons down on the Low Coast and see what the Scartessons might reveal."
